Impact on Youth

Oakland Youth Story Bank

The Atlantic Philanthropies hired Colectivo to document the impact of its $22M grant funded among Linked Learning grantees to prepare Oakland youth for careers in the healthcare sector: Oakland Unified School District, HealthPATH, and Alameda County Health Pipeline Partnership. The Atlantic Philanthropies contracted Colectivo to:

Ethical storytelling begins by elevating the voices of the people whose stories we tell.

Colectivo created a Youth Advisory Board to ensure that students played a central role in telling their own stories.

Individual + collective impact
for foundations and grantees is a function of Colectivo’s modularized story bank assets.

Impact report for funders

Colectivo’s story bank enables The Atlantic Philanthropies to showcase the accomplishments of their grantees and the impact of their investment—lifting up student narratives and strengthening grantees’ infrastructure and capacity to reach additional students and partners, and to appeal to potential funders.

A website showcases the myriad of student voices captured in our story bank.

A combination of rich documentary photography and hand-illustrated portraits put a face on the lives this project has touched.

Colectivo work is soulful, sophisticated, and strategically on target.
